Pray for Our Church Day 4

June 4

Read (Matt 18:3-4; Prov. 20:11; Eccl. 12:1; Ps. 71:17; 2 Tim. 2:22)

Lord, I lift up the children and youth in my congregation to You. May the little ones remain humble examples of what we adults need to become in the kingdom. Let their conduct always be pure and right with reputations that show that they remember You, Creator God. Teach them to declare Your marvelous deeds. May they flee evil desires and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. During the upcoming summer months may they hunger for Your Word.
We learn by prayer to detect the differences between God’s order and God’s permissive will. God’s order is: no pain, no devil, no war, no sin. His permissive will is all these things, the ‘soup’ we are in just now. What one needs to do is get hold of God’s order in the kingdom on the inside, and then he will begin to see how to handle the riddle of the universe on the outside.
